SC Credit (SCInterface Controller Credit) - This is the core licensing mechanism for SCInterface. A single SC Credit can control one SC. The SCInterface SCM License determines the number of SC Credits for the entire SCInterface installation. SC Credits can also be allocated to specific users within SCInterface. The number of SC Credits can be increased by:

  1. Upgrading the SCInterface SCM License.
  2. Allocating users with additional SC Credits as long as there are enough SC Credits available within the given SCInterface SCM License.

Some general guidelines:

  1. A user is only allowed to assign SC Credits to the his/her children.
    1. The default system administrator (sysadmin) can assign SC Credits to any users at anytime as long as the active number of SC Credits do not exceed those defined within the SCInterface SCM License.
  2. The total number of SC Credits allocated to a user's children must not exceed:
    1. The total number of SC Credits for the user's parent.
      OR
    2. The total number of SC Credits allocated to the user.

"Over selling" or allocating SC credits provides a high level of flexibility in using your SCInterface license. This basically involves allocating more than the number of available SC Credits to your users. However, only the maximum number of SC Credits for the entire SCM or your user will be allowed to function at any given time.
