From SCInterface Wiki
Welcome to SCInterface's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for SCInterface for Sensors. You will find various information about frequently asked questions from our customers. This section of these site will be maintained and updated often with questions and answers.
If I have 10 clients each wanting individual access with the ability to monitor their respective sensors, can SCInterface do that?
Yes, absolutely! That is exactly what SCInterface is designed to do. You can create and assign individual users for each server and each user can have 1 to infinity sensors associated with their account. Basically, you have an "overall administrator account" to manage all ten sensors through a single login.
Do I have to run an SC for each sensor that I wish to control?
No, a single SC can control as many sensors as the physical communication layer will support. For instances, you may only be able to control one sensor with an Ethernet-to-Serial HC, however, a Ethernet-to-Bluetooth® HC may be able to control many sensors as long as the sensors are within range of the HC.
