SCInterface Cluster

An SCInterface cluster is where you have more than one SCM (and possibly databases) managing many SCs. The advantages of an SCInterface cluster are:

  • Load Balancing
  • Performance increase
  • Failover/Redudancy
  • Infinite Scalability

A good rule of thumb is to place an SCM in the same facility as all of your SCs. So if you have a data center on the east coast of the USA and another on the west coast, a dedicated SCM would be placed in the east and west coast facilities.
