SC
From SCInterface Wiki
SC (SCInterface Controller) - The SC (pronounced S-C), also referred to as SController, is responsible for receiving commands from the SCM and controlling your applications or devices. The official name for an SC is the SCInterface Controller.
The SC functions as the remote agent or client for the SCM to send commands and interact with an application or device. The SC is a small foot-print application (less than 300KB for Linux and 500KB for Windows) that resides on a server, embedded device, sensor or an SCInterface HC (Hardware Controller). The SC is designed to be very efficient by being able to run on systems that have low resources, is very portable and requires a very small footprint in order to maintain optimal performance.
There are two different types of SCs:
- Virtual SC - Runs within a virtualization environment.
- Native SC - Runs on the native hardware.
A single SC can control many applications or devices at once and it must be installed once on each platform you wish to control. An SC can run on any platform that is supported by SCInterface.
