HC (Hardware Controller) - This is an optional component to the SCInterface architecture. The HC, also refered to as HController, is responsible for providing the physical communication layer. The SC runs on the HC in order to communicate with the sensor network. The HCs come in:

  • Ethernet-to-Serial
  • Wifi-to-Serial
  • Bluetooth®-to-Serial
  • Ethernet-to-Bluetooth®
  • ... and more

The HC is designed to be a very small footprint hardware device that can be easily integrated into an existing sensor or used as an access point to communicate with multiple sensors. The HC requires only 5 Volts of power to run and is small enough to be placed anywhere. A single HC can control many sensors at once while communicating back to the SCM from anywhere in the world.
